Oldspaper and Olds defined

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2005

Since I’m using the terms ‘oldspaper’ and ‘olds’ in my blog, I better provide their definitions:

Oldspaper: Outdated unread newspaper, accumulated due to lack of time to read, which will eventually be read.

Olds: News found in oldspapers.

I don’t read newspapers everyday. In fact, I often read newspapers which are weeks and months old.

With so many interesting blogs to read and so little time, I find myself reading more oldspapers than newspapers.

Instead of buying newspapers and piling them up to become oldspapers, perhaps I should just help a nice neighbour collect his unwanted newspapers for ‘recycling’.

If you see some guy fervently reading his papers at a cafe and you spotted a familar front page you read months back, don’t worry, you did not travel back in time; You just found someone reading oldspaper.

And that guy could turn out to be me ;)

Our son named ‘Yahoo!’

Thursday, October 20th, 2005

Wouldn’t everyone who calls him be a happy bunch?

“Yahoo! Go do your homework!”
“Yahoo! Go pack your room!”
“Yahoo! I love you!”

I was inspired by this Swedish couple who named their son ‘Google‘.

Somehow, I think my dear won’t be too pleased with my inspiration.

Thus, the search for a Christian name for my son continues … :)

Paris Hilton sells burgers

Saturday, July 30th, 2005

I bet Paris Hilton got paid millions to sell burgers for this joint.

On the other hand, this fat bloke probably got paid peanuts for doing the same thing.

Of course, Singaporeans in certain circles are indeed getting paid peanuts. If you don’t know what I’m referring to, read this.
